How many times have you thought to yourself… “My life is such a hustle… I need to try and relax”…
In fact, you may have a careful nutrition and practice physical exercise but your days go by at an enormous speed and at the end of the day,
you feel as if you were carrying the world on your shoulders.
Although we aren’t the only ones to blame, it’s up to us to have an attitude to break that cycle of almost euphoria and stress!
We need to take breaks, to slower the pace. Be it to quiet your mind and reorganize your thoughts, or to get some energy to face life.
From the practice of meditation to Yoga, from a moment with your pet to knitting… there are many different ways to achieve that
and they are here, at your hand.
Choose one, or several, choose the ones you most enjoy and give your mind a little PEACE…
You’ll see that afterwards you will feel much more energy and serenity to face LIFE’s challenge.
Go and take a break… you can do it!
Breathing… such a simple gesture that we relearn by focusing ourselves
on that, with serenity, with purity. A practise that has become a regular habit for us,
quieting our minds and our bodies.
From the Salutation to the Sun to the Warrior’s Pose, one of our favourite asanas, there are numerous postures that, harmoniously connected, aim at the control, strengthening,
functionality, balance and general relaxation without tension.
If you are curious but never tried, it’s worth a try! It’s a part of transformation…
The practice of meditation was introduced to us during our disease and has, since then, been part of our life.
Actually, we don’t need much in order to do it, we just have to close our eyes for 5 minutes
and focus on ourselves. Detaching from everything that surrounds us, and focusing on ourselves
and on the moment, helps us to achieve what many people call Mindfulness.
But although it seems so simple, it may not be easy and immediate in the beginning.
We’ve found something a little lost in time that makes us only think about that moment,
about that drawing, that line, that loop, that colour.
An effect similar to meditation, and we learn to enjoy it.
A collar knitted by our own hands, and we even can teach the young…
Everything has a very different value… a new taste, a taste at our pace, sweet and peaceful.
If this is something you’ve always wanted to try, dare to do it!
If it’s something that you left aside for years, make a new start!
Planting, watering or pruning, are gestures of those who care, who have the pleasure to create and watch the growth of the most important thing for us…LIFE.
Contact with nature, from touching the dirt to feeling the scent of the flowers, or observing the tones and the colours is clearly therapeutic and has a name… Therapeutic Gardening.
Many of us may doubt it, but the fact is it’s been proved for a long time that the interaction
between man and plants is very beneficial at the physical, psychological and spiritual level.
It takes an important role as an adjuvant therapy, helping in the treatment and recovery
from disease states, and anyone can do it!
From a simple flower in a plant pot, a flowerbed on the terrace or a garden…
create your work or your place and allow your mind a long desired break…
Always. Always at our side!
Rain or shine, our “creatures” transmit us a unique state of being in unity, in communion, in company.
They live in the moment, that one and none else, enjoying every second
as if there was no past and no future. This is the pure and contagious beauty of animals.
They are for us an indispensible element for a wholesome home, full of healthy energy.
Have you thought of adopting a four legged friend?
Or just enjoying its energy for some moments?
Look for it in the closest association, it also needs you. That’s something you can’t explain…
Mommy, do you want to paint with me?
Everyday after dinner, we have a request we also agree with! Of course, honey!
Since very little, painting has appeared in our lives as a pleasant activity, one of the first
to be taught to our children. In fact, painting and drawing bring benefits
beyond mere entertainment.
Colouring, such a common and desired activity by the smallest ones, works for us adults
as a relaxing therapy, releasing tension.
While colouring, we aren’t only filling in blank spaces… we are also releasing
our mind, calming our thoughts and worries.
Paint! Paint what you have on your mind, paint listening to the sound of music or a mandala…
